Habitat

Meerkats live in burrows under the ground. They build a big tunnel system with many entrances all over there land so that if they get attacked they can run in to safety. In side the tunnel they have a sleeping chamber in which They sleep in groups, cuddled up or on top of each other for warmth as they are particularly sensitive to the cold.when they are sleeping they are at risk of getting attacked by a snake. Meerkats are very Territorial they mark there territory  who they do this is they have scent pouches below their tails and will rub these pouches on rocks and plants to mark their territory.
